In the Quebec budget of March 25, 2025, the government announced the CDAEIA, which represents a major change to the E-Business tax credit (CDAE) program. In addition to continuing to meet the existing eligibility requirements (6 employees, 50% and 75% tests, etc.), claimed projects must now include a significant presence of artificial intelligence. Simply adding a chatbot connected to ChatGPT is no longer sufficient—much more is now required.

Moreover, maintenance and evolution activities are no longer eligible. Most current E-Business claimants risk being, or will be, excluded from the program.

To understand the new rules, apply them, qualify your company for CDAEIA, and potentially save hundreds of thousands of $, Emergex has prepared a workshop that will address the following questions:

  • How does the CDAEIA change eligibility rules, credit rates, and revenue tests?
  • What role does artificial intelligence play in eligible activities, and what does “significant integration” of AI mean?
  • How can you position yourself to minimize the impact of now-excluded activities?
  • What are the impacts of subcontracting and intercompany services on credit rates?
  • What role can Emergex play in identifying hidden AI potential within your existing projects in order to help you maintain or regain eligibility?
  • Which cutting edge AI technologies can enhance your projects?
  • How can you successfully transition from E-Business to CDAEIA, and what are the concrete implications?
  • How can AI integration improve eligibility and unlock new funding opportunities?
  • How can you prepare your company or your clients to comply with the new rules and optimize their claims before the changes come into effect?

If you do not have the answers to all these questions (!), you risk losing out on tax credits… so sign up now for our workshop led by our experts:

  • Benoit Rémillard, our E-Business expert who has filed 150 claims since the program began in 2008
  • Komi Sodoké, one of our PhDs in AI, with 11 years of SR&ED experience and 20 years in IT
  • Pierre Savignac, the CEO and founder of Emergex

The event will be held online on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (ET). To sign up, please contact 514-765-3333 ext. 100.
